BIA-RRV & Home Builders Care Foundation committee members and boards,

 

You're invited to volunteer at the Home Builders Care Foundation / Building Industry Association / Professional Women in Building exhibit at the Health, Tech & Trades Career Expo Dec. 3. The event itself runs 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Fargodome. We need volunteers from 7 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and have the day divided into three shifts. We need both tool-savvy volunteers and greeter-type volunteers.

Each year 4,000+ students attend the Health, Tech & Trades Career Expo at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D. It is designed to promote various industries to 9th graders in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and area rural public and private schools. 

 

More about the Home Builders Care/BIA/PWBC exhibit:

Our exhibit is a joint effort between Home Builders Care Foundation, Building Industry Association and Professional Women in Building Council to promote careers in construction, Home Builders Care scholarships and the Herdina Construction Trades Camp. A few of last year's volunteers are pictured below. Activities include:

  • Guess the number of screws for a prize
  • Guess the number of starbursts for a prize
  • Spin the construction career wheel for a prize
  • PWBC spin the wheel for a prize
  • Drill races
  • Subfloor screw guns
  • Cutting out stars with jigsaws
