Association leaders visit Capitol Hill
Advocating for the housing and building industries
|
BIA leadership and staff were in Washington, D.C., with the North Dakota Association of Builders for the National Association of Home Builders Spring Leadership Meetings and Legislative Conference earlier this month. The group is pictured above. They met with U.S. Sen. John Hoeven, U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer and U.S. Rep. Julie Fedorchak. Amongst the items discussed were tax policy, a detrimental ruling involving energy codes and financing through HUD and USDA; and increasing funding and support for the residential construction workforce - including reforms for the Job Corps program and support for the CONSTRUCTS Act. Over 1,000 NAHB members went to Capitol Hill, advocating for sound regulations and pro-housing policies.
