We are deeply saddened by the passing of Lee Amble, past president of the Building Industry Association, who left us on May 19, 2025, at the age of 89. Lee’s life was a testament to hard work, leadership and unwavering dedication to his family, community and profession. His funeral was Aug. 2 in rural Thompson, N.D.

Aug. 12 Building Industry Connect sessions are a chance for our members to introduce the association and its goals. No presentations, no agendas and no parliamentary procedures. Just the chance for officials and members to learn about each other. August's session welcomes newer members of the Moorhead City Council. Cost is $25 per person and includes lunch.

Sept. 15 High Noon Shootout Get ready for trap shooting, camaraderie, and connection. The High Noon Shootout will feature two rounds of trap shooting, followed by a steak dinner, socializing, and prizes. We’ll wrap up with an exciting Annie Oakley competition! Cost is $85 if registered by Sept. 1.

Sept. 16 Lunch Session: Understanding Building Pressure with RJ Energy Solutions Both negative and positive building pressure can lead to a host of problems including higher energy costs, uncomfortable indoor environments and even structural damage. Without a clear understanding of the root causes, attempts to fix these issues often make things worse. Cost is $20 and includes lunch.

Sept. 20-22 & 27-29 Parade of Homes Fall Edition Since its inception in the fall of 1961, this community event has been a pillar of our region, rooted in the vision of local trendsetters in the construction industry. Over the decades, the Parade has grown into a celebration of craftsmanship and creativity, reflecting the spirit of home building in our community. Entry registration is closed. Limited advertising is available with creative due Aug. 8.
