Scholarship pathways made possible through the Professional Women in Building Council

The BIA Foundation of the RRV is proud to announce a new section of scholarship funds made possible through the Professional Women in Building Council (PWBC). These funds were raised by dedicated BIA and PWBC members to support scholarships for female students pursuing careers in the building trades.

One of the council’s primary initiatives is to introduce more female students to the building trades and help them recognize the many opportunities available within the industry. Through these scholarships, PWBC aims to encourage and support the next generation of women entering the field.

The first round of scholarships will be awarded this spring alongside the BIA Foundation's regular scholarship awards. Click here to access the scholarship information page! A second round of scholarships will be awarded in late fall/early winter, also in conjunction with the Foundation’s regular scholarship cycle. 

Community members are also invited to support this effort by attending the Professional Women in Building Council’s inaugural fundraising event, Purses, Pints & Power Tools Bingo on April 16. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward scholarships for female students pursuing careers in the building trades.
