NAHB participates in Capitol Hill Housing Forum

NAHB's Chief Lobbyist, Lake Coulson, participated in a roundtable hosted by the New Democrat Coalition, which represents over half of the Democratic caucus.

NAHB emphasizes that the most effective way to ease the United States' housing affordability crisis is to reduce regulatory barriers that prevent builders from increasing housing supply, and that's what Coulson advocated for.

Coulson also commented on various federal programs aiming to assist with boosting affordable housing, improving permitting processes, strengthening workforce development in construction, and more.

Coulson noted that housing remains a bipartisan issue. As an example, the Senate approved the ROAD to Housing Act, a significant bipartisan housing package and the House has introduced the Housing for the 21st Century Act as a companion bill.
