Children's Museum seeks contractors to build 'Tiny Town' playhouses for June 13 event

Opportunities

Each house would be co-sponsored by a local organization, which would help each builder team to decorate and brand the house based on the assigned theme.

At this year’s MidWest KidFest on June 13 at Island Park in Fargo, the Great Plains Childrens Museum is launching a whimsical, child-sized village called Tiny Town, featuring 4’x4’ playhouses themed as familiar community spaces—like a grocery store, vet clinic, fire station, auto shop, and more.

They seek builders interested in constructing a 4’x4’ playhouse as part of this pop-up experience. Each house would be co-sponsored by a local organization, which would help each builder team to decorate and brand the house based on the assigned theme. The playhouses will be raffled off to families for free after the event—bringing joy, play, and lasting memories home with them.

This is a unique opportunity for home builders to showcase craftsmanship and creativity while engaging in a high-visibility community project that supports education, family wellness, and workforce awareness.
