Choice Bank recently made a meaningful impact in the Fargo–Moorhead community through its More than a Roof initiative. In partnership with local nonprofit Down Home, the bank helped families transitioning out of homelessness by turning empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes.
Rather than simply donating funds, Choice Bank employees got directly involved—furnishing and decorating homes, and being present to welcome families on move-in day. It was a hands-on effort that aligned with the bank’s People First mission and commitment to bettering the places they live and work. Fargo Market President Eddie Sheeley described the experience as “extremely rewarding and impactful.”
Down Home has furnished over 225 homes in the region, helping more than 600 individuals. With Choice Bank’s support, that impact will continue to grow—bringing comfort, dignity, and hope to more families in need.
This effort was one of many ways Choice Bank invested in the community. In addition to More than a Roof, the bank donated over $600,000 to affordable housing projects, supported rural childcare providers through grant programs, and installed 24/7 People First Pantries to address food insecurity. Through it all, Choice Bank led with purpose—investing not just in financial success, but in the well-being of its communities.
