Jenna says, "I have valued my time as an intern at the BIA and look forward to continue building skills and confidence while learning from my co-workers and member leaders. It will be fun to meet new people and share all the great reasons to invest in the BIA!"

Originally from Hancock, Minnesota, Jenna graduated in May from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis.
BIA CEO Bryce Johnson says, "Throughout her senior year of college, she balanced work and academics while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications and event planning. She gladly stepped up to take on additional duties this spring, assisting with recruitment and retention due to a maternity leave. That type of dedication, resilience and passion for growth have helped prepare her for this next step, and we are so excited to have her permanently, full-time on the staff."
When asked about her favorite part of working at the BIA, Jenna shared that she looks forward to seeing her co-workers each day and enjoys the variety in tasks as well as all of the different opportunities to learn and grow.
"The relationships I have built and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our members have made my time with the Association especially meaningful," she says.
One benefit or event Jenna recommends to any member is joining a committee or council.
"You'll learn more about the work we do at the BIA to assist business growth. It also helps you engage with other members through networking and relationship building," she says. "If you're on a committee, you will be part of the decision making within the Association about all of our programming, events and even advocacy efforts. We have something for everyone!"

Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending time with friends and loves to write and scrapbook as creative outlets. She also enjoys reading, working out and thrifting.
Please join the BIA in congratulating Jenna on both her recent graduation and her new role. We are excited to see all she accomplishes as she continues to build relationships, support our members and contribute to the growth of the association.
