Schumacher named chairman of the board at American Federal Bank

American Federal Bank has named John Schumacher Chairman of the Board. He will continue serving as President and CEO of the employee-owned community bank while assuming his new leadership role.

As part of the leadership transition, Dean McCleary, who previously served as Chairman of the Board, has been named Vice Chairman. McCleary served as the organization's Chief Financial Officer and later President and CEO and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014.

American Federal Bank is an employee-owned community bank serving customers throughout Minnesota and North Dakota. The bank operates full-service locations in Ada, Crookston, East Grand Forks, Fergus Falls, Fosston, Hallock and Warren, Minnesota, as well as Fargo, Grand Forks, Northwood and Wahpeton, North Dakota.
