Welcome home Dean and Heidi Vetter

Fun Facts

On the evening of July 31st, 2025, Dean Vetter experienced a traumatic road bike accident and was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for emergency surgery for severe spinal cord injuries. He had rods and pins put in to stabilize his spinal cord starting at the top of his neck and going halfway down his back. Given the severe damage to Dean's spinal cord.

Thanks to the incredible medical teams and the unwavering support of Heidi, Dean began his recovery journey. In mid- August, Dean was transferred to Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, where he received excellent inpatient care. Heidi has been by his side every step of the way. In November, Dean was able to transition to outpatient care at Craig Hospital, and he and Heidi looked forward to returning home to Fargo in mid-January.

Dean's benefit was hosted Friday, Jan. 30 at Hope South Lutheran Church, where every dollar donated was to be used for ongoing expense, home remodeling for accessibility and a handicap conversion van. Here, Bell Bank generously donated $22,100. Bell provides each employee $1,000 every year to pay it forward to whatever cause or organization they see needs it.
