Founded in 1917 by E.J. Schonberg, the son of Swedish immigrants, Fargo Glass & Paint Company started as the Fargo Plate Glass Company with just $10,000 in borrowed money and no prior experience in the glass industry. Built on values of honesty, hard work, and treating people well, the company quickly earned a reputation as “The Friendly House,” a philosophy that continues to guide the business today. In 1922, the company expanded its products and services and adopted the name Fargo Glass & Paint Company. In 2018, the company became 100% employee-owned, reflecting its commitment to investing in the people who help drive its success. Today, Fargo Glass & Paint Company proudly serves customers throughout the upper Midwest with four locations and a team of more than 175 employees. We provide a complete range of residential and commercial glass products and services, including glass installation, mirrors, custom shower doors, automatic doors, storefront systems, and curtainwalls. Our wholesale division also offers specialty building products such as windows, doors, siding, roofing, deck railings, paint, blinds, flooring, and cabinets. In 2021, we launched TurnKey Solutions and Development, LLC, a division dedicated to hospitality and commercial fit-up projects, renovations, and ground-up construction services across the United States.
