This course will cover the NFPA 70e, which is the "standard for electrical safety in the workplace." We'll explore topics such as establishing an electrically safe working condition, working around electrical equipment, PPE, and more.

Electrical Systems: Chapters 7 & 8
Chapter 7 (Special Conditions) and Chapter 8 (Communications Systems) from the National Electrical Code focus on low-voltage systems. In this course, we will examine different topics within chapters 7 and 8, and discuss how they are applicable to power-limited technicians.

OUR INSTRUCTOR
Christian Opp, Opp Seminars LLC

Christian Opp is a master electrician and electrical instructor based in Fargo, ND. He specializes in continuing education, electrical safety training, and apprenticeship development. He currently serves as the director of Magnum Electric’s “PowerHouse” apprenticeship program and is the owner of Opp Seminars LLC.
Christian previously taught for IEC Dakotas, M State in Moorhead, MN, and the Herdina Academy’s electrical program. He lives in Fargo with his wife, Lindsay, and their two sons, Raiden and Lewyn.
He also serves on the BIA's Education Committee.
